Here is an unusual open back 5 string banjo. It has a carved headstock and heel. The cast metal pot has an intricate pattern around it. The neck is mahogany with an ebony fingerboard. It is missing its inlay. One of the tuning pegs is bent but works OK. It has 26 tension hooks, 24 are new and 2 are original. The perch pole has an adjuster to alter the action. The vellum head is relatively new and shows no wear.
Overall a highly unusual 5 string banjo that plays well.
