In good playing condition.
Serial # 001, which suggests it’s the first one made!
It is large bore, and has an extra stamp, which I have not seen on other Liberator trumpets.
It has a small, very well done repair to one of the sections where it joins the 3rd valve.
Jack Bell and Maynard Ferguson formed a company (Ferguson Bell Ltd) to make trumpets and mouthpieces.
Jack Bell lived, and also worked, as a taxi driver in Bradford.
In the early 70’s, Maynard Ferguson had strong connections with the north of England. His manager, Ernie Garside, lived in Manchester.
Hence, I have had 3 of their trumpets, and numerous mouthpieces.
Price = £1500.

In ‘C’ system, 4 voice, musette tuned, 120 bass. 7 treble couplers, 1 bass coupler. In good playing condition, with recent leather straps in very good condition.
Good tuning, all reeds sounding as they should, with good compression. Some wear to some of the treble buttons ( the previous owner didn’t cut their nails!). There is a scrape to the bellows at the back, not severe.
Overall, an honest, great playing, great sounding accordion.
Price = £650.

In overall good condition, all original apart from two tuning pegs, replaced with period Kumalae pegs, which are slightly different. There is a shrinkage crack to the top, which is repaired and stable. It starts to the far left of the bridge, and runs down to the bottom edge. It can clearly be seen in photos 13, 14 and 15. All Koa construction. The style E is the highest model that was made by Jonah Kumalae, with a different peghead to all other styles. Inside on the back, written in pencil, it has ‘e – 233’.
Comes with a period case, which is functional, but missing its handle.
P.O.A.

In very good condition, some very minor dents/scuffs/chips/scratches.
Serial # = E907084, which dates it to 1989/90.
It was made in California, USA.
Apparently, the Squier model used the same neck and body as the standard USA Fender strat, but with imported, cheaper hardware, maybe Japan?
I believe it to be all original, including the tremolo arm (not in photos).
All working as it should. Straight neck, no fret or fingerboard wear.
These don’t turn up very often now, as they are an ideal opportunity to upgrade the parts, and own a ‘true’ USA strat, at a fraction of the cost.

In very good working condition, all original. It has 2 jack socket inputs, with separate volume controls. The 9 pin socket has been removed. Now, to get slow or fast rotary speaker, you simply ground either the white wire (fast), or blue wire (slow). The Rola Celestion speakers have a diecast chassis, rather than the cheaper pressed steel chassis. The amplifier section was specially made for Sharma by HH, Cambridge, England. I believe it is rated at a ‘true’ 100 watts.
Dimensions – 95cm High, 75cm wide, 51cm deep. Weight – very heavy!

Yamaha YTR-732 Bb trumpet, made in Japan 1972/77. It has a 5 figure serial number, which points to it being an early production model.
It is in very good condition, I cannot find any dents, there are surface scratches showing its age but none bad at all.
All slides/valves are moving freely.
Bell material is yellow brass, the bore size is .445″, the bell is 5″.
The case is not original, but it has obviously been with it a long time, and it fits very well.
The modern equivalent is the Bobby Shew YTR-6310ZS, which currently retails for £1,586 (Yamaha London).

Here is a vintage 16.5″ ‘nipple’ gong with beater, solid and heavy.
It has a very sonorous, dark and mean sound, and the tone varies depending where you strike it. Remember, sound is a subjective issue, and the description of it is only my opinion.
Weight = 3kg.

Here is a Yamaha YSL-645 Bb trombone, with its original case. The 645 is a professional instrument.
It comes with a Yamaha 48 mouthpiece.
It is in good, very used condition, quite a few dents and scratches, worn lacquer in places. But it still plays fine with a good slide.

Here is a lovely ‘old school’ archtop guitar, model LW, handmade by Jack Abbott senior, London, England around 1933. All solid wood, shame it’s missing its ‘The Aristone’ badge from the headstock. The label states – ‘Hand Made by J.G. ABBOTT & Co Ltd – the Guitar Craftsmen – LONDON W2’. The serial number stamped on the back of the headstock is 372.
It’s in great playable condition for its age, with plenty of ‘mojo’.
I have reset the neck to the body, no easy task.
So it now has a great action with a high bridge, so there is plenty of room for adjustment.
There are 3 cracks, repaired from the inside when I did the neck reset, one above and one below the left F hole, and one below the right F hole. No separations, rare for a guitar this age. It has its original tailpiece and Grover tuners, missing its scratchplate. Numerous scratches and dings, it has quite a small body, unusual for an archtop from this period.
