Up for sale, here’s a very unique and rare to find Fender Designer Edition American Deluxe Stratocaster in Black finish, made in USA in 2000 at the Corona, CA factory.
8lb 14oz, which is average to lightweight for a Strat. Serial # DZO262437.
All original with its Fender deluxe black case with black interior, also in very good condition.
The American Designer Series was offered in limited quantities with some cool features and unique appointments such as slab and bound top Alder body in black finish, a unique chrome aluminum pickguard, black matching headstock with chrome Fender logo, 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a modern “C” neck profile with 9.5 inch radius rosewood fingerboard, 22 medium jumbo frets and real mother of pearl dot markers.
A trio of Vintage Noiseless pickups delivers a clean and killer tone. 5-way switch, Locking tuners, chrome knobs and a 2 point tremolo
These Designer Edition American Deluxe Series are the equivalent to the current “American Elite”. With very minimal differences these all have the same price point on the Fender product line above the American Standards/Professionals, well known for being super solid and reliable workhorse for pros, getting the legendary Strat tone with some premium features.
The instrument has light wear such as very light scratches, and some oxidisation to the scratchplate.
It is one owner from new, with no fret or fingerboard wear, all working just as it should. Price = £2,500.
